The Short Version
The numbers you type into our calculators stay in your browser. We never see them. We only collect information when you choose to send it, like a message through our contact form. The site uses Google Analytics to see which pages people visit, and ads may use cookies. You can control both.
Numbers You Type Into Calculators
Our calculators run entirely in your web browser. The numbers you enter are never sent to us or stored on our servers.
The net worth tracker saves your entries in your own browser (using something called “local storage”) so they’re still there next time. That data stays on your device. Tap “Clear all” in the tracker to erase it, or clear your browser’s site data.
The Contact Form
If you send us a message, we collect your first name, email address, the topic you pick, and your message. We use it only to reply to you. We don’t sell it or add you to a mailing list.
To block spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you’re a person. Cloudflare may process technical information like your browser type to do this. (Cloudflare’s privacy policy)
We keep messages for up to 90 days, then delete them.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: which pages are visited, how long people stay, what kind of device they use, and their general location (like country or city, never an exact address). Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We use these reports only to improve the site, and they don’t tell us who you are.
You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Ads and Cookies
We show ads through Google AdSense to keep the site free.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners show you ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info.
Amazon Links
Some guides link to products on Amazon. If you click one, Amazon may use cookies to track that the visit came from us. That happens on Amazon’s site, under Amazon’s privacy notice. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Embedded Videos and Content
Some guides may include videos or other content from sites like YouTube. That content works as if you visited the other site directly, which means it may use cookies and track how you interact with it, under that site’s privacy policy.
Security and Hosting
To protect the site from attacks, our security tools and web host keep standard logs that include IP addresses, browser type, and the pages requested. These logs are used only for security and keeping the site running.
Who We Share Information With
We don’t sell your information. The only outside companies involved are the ones that help run the site: our web host (Hostinger), Cloudflare (spam protection), Google (analytics and ads), and Amazon (if you click an Amazon link). Each follows its own privacy policy.
Use by Children
This site is for users over the age of 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
